Farmasiet runs weekly discount campaigns across around 9,000 products. PriceShape handled competitive pricing well, but campaign planning still depended on a large Excel file that broke often.
With Reprice, Farmasiet manages competitive pricing and discount campaigns in one system. The team can check every planned discount against the 30-day rule before the campaign goes live.
When Lars Lindberg joined Farmasiet as Pricing Manager, much of the company’s pricing and product data work happened in Excel. The team exported data from several systems and combined it in large pricing and campaign files. Around 9,000 products could be discounted, and roughly 30% of the range went on campaign each week.
They contained thousands of rows and complex formulas. When several people worked in them at once, they often broke. One pricing file became so large that it could take most of a business day to open.
First, Farmasiet could not change prices often enough. Before introducing pricing software, the team repriced products about once every six weeks. That was too slow for an online pharmacy competing in a market where customers compare prices closely.
Second, the manual campaign process created compliance risk. Before discounting a product, Farmasiet needed to manually check its planned campaign price against its lowest price during the previous 30 days. Doing this across thousands of products in Excel led to repeated errors.
The file was so big it took almost a business day just to open.

Farmasiet introduced PriceShape to improve competitive pricing. It worked well for that part of the job. The team could monitor the market and update prices more often. But discount campaigns still lived in Excel.
Farmasiet now had two separate pricing workflows:
The competitive pricing problem had improved, but the campaign process remained manual and difficult to control.
A few months later, Lars received an email from Reprice about its campaign manager. He began testing the product alongside Farmasiet’s existing setup.
Two things stood out:
Lars looked for another system that could handle both workflows. He did not find one.
Lars says, “PriceShape were incredible at pricing products, but we didn’t have control of the campaigns. I didn’t find any other software that could provide both functionalities in one system. Now we have all the information like cost, price, and margin in one place, and the system tells us which products are compliant and ready to be discounted.”
Farmasiet now builds campaigns directly in Reprice.
The team can choose a theme, select the right products and set the campaign prices in the same system. Before launch, Reprice checks each product’s price history and shows which products are ready for the planned discount.
The team no longer has to manually search through spreadsheets to find the lowest price from the previous 30 days. Competitive pricing and campaigns also work from the same product data. When Lars changes prices in bulk, Reprice can show whether a product is already planned for an upcoming campaign. This helps prevent an everyday price change from interfering with a promotion.
The pricing process has become much faster.
A repricing run covering around 500 products now takes about five minutes. Before, Farmasiet reviewed prices only about once every six weeks.
The system has also made the work easier to share. Because the product view works in a familiar, table-based way, colleagues can learn the process without spending weeks understanding a complex spreadsheet model.

Farmasiet has changed both the speed and the quality of its pricing work.
Reprice automatically checks campaign prices before launch, so products that need attention can be corrected before the campaign goes live. Manually checking for compliance errors has fallen to near zero.
Farmasiet can now respond to market changes in minutes. A typical run of around 500 products takes about five minutes.
The team can see competitor prices, costs and margins together before making a change. Lars says Farmasiet’s margins on skincare have never been higher, without a fall in revenue.
The e-commerce team saves around seven hours a week. Farmasiet also saves time across its category teams, although that has not been measured.
Cost, margin, competitor position, campaign status and price history are available in the same system. Competitive pricing and discount campaigns no longer operate as separate processes.

Now we have all the information like cost, price and margin, in one place, and the system tells us which products are compliant and ready to be discounted.
